Dr Arnagretta Hunter


Consultant Physician & Cardiologist

Dr Hunter is an enthusiastic and experienced cardiologist and general physician who is based in Canberra. She was trained at St Vincent’s Hospital, Darlinghurst and completed her cardiology training at St Vincent’s Hospital, Fitzroy where she also completed some training in Intensive Care medicine. She spent a period at the Royal Melbourne Hospital furthering her interest in cardiac echocardiography, transoesophageal echo and congenital heart disease.

Dr Hunter has an active role teaching at the UNSW Clinical School, including as chair of the ‘Grand Rounds’. She has a number of education and training positions with the RACP, including supervision for registrars-in-training at WWBH and within the St Vincent’s Network, and as convener of the RACP clinical exam.

Dr Hunter is a general cardiologist with an interest in non-invasive cardiac assessment, preventative cardiology, and cardiac failure. She enjoys general medicine and complex general medical care.
