Ross is a neurologist, epileptologist and clinical neurophysiologist based at Barwon Health, Geelong, and St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne. He is Assessment Coordinator for the final two years of the Deakin University Medical course, and is married with three children.

Ross lived in a small town unitl his mid teens and graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1993. Internship and earlly resident/registrar years were spent in Geelong. In 2003 he completed physician training in neurology through St Vincent's, Monash and Royal Melbourne hospitals, followed in 2005 by a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Melbourne for work in temporal lobe epilepsy. A Masters of Medical Education was completed in 2008. Ross has a strong interest in neurophysiology, and undertook Board Certification with the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine in 2012. He achieved the highest possible band ranking and is one of few Australians to hold this certification.

Ross has worked at Geelong Hospital since 2003, as consultant neurologist, and more recently as Director of Neurophysiology. Past academic appointments have included Clinical Sub Dean of St Vincent's and Geelong Hospital Clinical School, University of Melbourne, and Foundation Director of Clinical Studies at Geelong Clinical School with Deakin University. Ross has been involved with neurology outreach to Western Victoria since 2007, and in telehealth delivery since first available in 2011.

Ross' neurological interests are in epilepsy, neuromuscular disease and neurophysiology.

Dedicated bulk billed telehealth session are provided, focussing on first seizures and epilepsy.
